Til að auka gæði upplýsinga um lífmassa, um endurnýjanlegt eldsneyti af ólífrænum uppruna, um endurunnið kolefniseldsneyti og um tilbúið lágkolefniseldsneyti og til að auðvelda landsbundna skýrslugjöf samkvæmt reglugerð Evrópuþingsins og ráðsins (ESB) 2018/1999 () ættu rekstraraðilar að vakta og gefa skýrslu um losun frá ekki núllmetnum og núllmetnum kolefnishluta þessa eldsneytis sem minnisatriði í losunarskýrslunum.
