- [en] In order to establish a sustainable cybersecurity environment, it is important that security by design is used as a principle in the process of developing, maintaining, operating and updating infrastructures, products and services, in particular by supporting state-of-the-art secure development methods, adequate security testing and security audits, by making available updates remedying known vulnerabilities or threats without delay and, where possible, by enabling third parties to create and provide updates beyond the respective end-of-service of products.
