Þrátt fyrir það starf sem hefur verið unnið, einkum mat nefndar um dýralyf á nautgripavaxtarhormóni (bovine somatotropin) í samræmi við tilskipun ráðsins 81/851/EBE frá 28. september 1981 ..., einkum þeirra sem unnin eru með líftækni, þá eru áhrif nýrra efna, svo sem nautgripavaxtarhormóns (bovine somatotropin), ekki nægilega ljós.
